Mr. Burt practices transactional commercial real estate, including leasing, financing, and the purchase and sale of commercial properties. He concentrates his practice in the area of commercial leasing. Mr. Burt has served as counsel to numerous local, regional and national developers, and has been actively involved in the development and leasing of significant office, retail and warehouse projects, as well as large mixed-use projects which combine retail, office and residential products.
Prior to joining Rosen Neuberger Lehmann LLP, Mr. Burt was an attorney in the real estate department of Gordon, Feinblatt, Rothman, Hoffberger & Hollander, LLC, in Baltimore, Maryland. Mr. Burt has also held positions as Vice-President for Retail Leasing for Saul Centers, Inc. in Chevy Chase, Maryland, and as associate general counsel for The Cordish Company in Baltimore, Maryland.
Mr. Burt is a member of the Real Property, Planning and Zoning Section of the Maryland State Bar Association. In addition, Mr. Burt is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, having served previously on the ICSC’s retailers committee, political action committee and its business and economic development committee.
